SUs in the UK are like broadway. Big bang events (welcome, winter wonderland, things at graduation including balls etc) with high production values. But what belonging does that really generate? We say that they are umbrella events, but are they really?
SUs in Europe are like school plays. Lower production values, far more of them, far more opportunities for development, more likely for mistakes to be made, and friendships to be made. And they have more emotional resonance and are always sold out.
