[[Ed's MBTI Report]] [[Lauren Beckett]] [[Andy Hargreaves]] # Role and purpose of SLT - Set values and culture - Support and empower staff - Develop and direct the organisational strategy - Maintain standards and adhere to legislation - Deal with crisis. ## Team-working Lauren and Andy are ISTJ. So have the same Thinking and Judging tendencies to you, but are different when it comes to Extraversion and Intuition. - All of SLT are process driven, and we like working things through. - All of SLT are contained, and not expressive. This is a problem when issues bubble up as this is where emotions/ empathy can be helpful. - All of SLT have a preference for the concrete, realistic and practical at the expense of the abstract, imaginative and conceptual. We need to consider this. - With a strong SLT preference for Thinking, it means we are likely to only hear the loudest staff voices. We don't have a lot of preference for empathy in the team, and we're not very tender! See [the slide](x-devonthink-item://3BF959A0-EEBA-447E-8EF2-CCBB139E3868?page=11 ) - We are also lacking Perceiving preferences, and instead focus on judging. Again, see [the slide](x-devonthink-item://3BF959A0-EEBA-447E-8EF2-CCBB139E3868?page=16) This means that we prefer being systems focussed, planning and methodical. We aren't casual, spontaneous, or open ended. Actions: - Need code words for operationalise the learning from this meeting - Need to understand how to be more FP with our staff. Co-production, not consultation. - Sense checking.
