Good sample size. - 364 student sample - Not homogeneous. Also intersectional differences. - Comparison to national sample. Representative and not lgbt - 31% said often felt isolated at uni. LGBT said 50%. - ==Not about community. 57% said they are getting social experience they want. 57% felt part of community. 77% had friends. 63% had meaningful relationships. All similar to national benchmark.== - Is this that they engage with lgbt community? Some data to support. - =='Otherness'. Didn't feel that they fit in. Across all measures on this page they felt that people felt them as different== - 45% say that they have taken part in social activities that made them feel uncomfortable. - Problematic alcohol and drug use witnessed. Associated with older people. Three types. Self-stigma (I'm a weirdo). Perceived stigma (thinks they're going to judged) and finally actual social stigma (actually happens).
