> Belonging is the essential human experience of feeling connected, included, and valued by others. It supports wellbeing by allowing us to express our values and preferred behaviours without fear of judgment, and by affirming that our identity and humanity are recognised as legitimate - especially by those with power. It is the opposite of being lonely.
