# Finding the Power of Play [link](x-devonthink-item://%[email protected]%3E) ## The idea >_“Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.”_ >- Heraclitus ## Notes - I want to achieve a serenity, a playfulness, a vibrancy and a meaningful life. I want that flow. That exploration. That vitality that comes with it. But combined with a seriousness of intention and ambition that creates meaningful positive change - This is what's required to be a master of anything we put our minds to. - We need to create the trusted conditions in which we can play. That means managing our responsibilities. - Sometimes our overly analytical selves, and our desire for [[Perfectionism|perfection]], gets in the way of engaging our sense of play. - We need to practice being playful, by creating playgrounds and building it into our everyday lives Important to reflect on this as part of my [[Ed Moloney Strategic Plan|strategic plan]].
