## Definition
- **NOT** student support, which refers to student finance, loans etc.
- It just refers to the support in place for students' learning, for them to meet learning standards, accelerate learning, catch up with peers, or generally succeed at university. This could include
- Personal Tutoring
- Mental health support
- Other staff support (eg SPAs?)
- Supplemental courses
- language support
- stopping attrition.

- Of the 24% of students (n = 270) who said they had considered dropping out,
- 34% said that this was due to "not getting enough support to complete my course".
- 11% said that this was due to "I didn't get on with lecturers, course tutors or teachers"
- 23% did NOT agree or strongly agree that "My course tutors/lecturers have supported my learning well"
- 26% said "I struggle with essay writing skills"
- 11% said that "I don’t have enough support from lecturers/tutors"
## Things we might want to discuss in TEF
- Peer mentoring? SI-PASS?
- Personal tutoring- what do we know about this? doesn't seem to be well implemented??
- Mental health and wellbeing strategy not picked up???
- SPAs are good?

- Cost of Living support?
- Support during the pandemic. Extenuating circumstances, student safety net/ no detriment policies etc.
