- Students can’t afford the broader extracurricular student experience because they are time poor and cash poor.
- This is why the student experience as a notion is intolerable for most SUs- or should be.
- You will not see the words “student experience” anywhere in [[Salford SU Strategy 2023 onwards]].
- This goes back to [[articles - Categorical Imperative - Wikipedia|categorical imperatives]] and the maxim that we should act only if that action should be universal. I don’t think we can apply that to the notion of a positive student experience. 1) it means too many things. 2) we should talk about broader tenets, such as wellbeing, educational value, social equality. These are much better arguments.
