# Learning Through Experimentation and Review
Iterate is the fourth pathway in the [[Tackling Loneliness Theory of Change]]. It works alongside [[Inform (Tackling Loneliness)|Inform]], [[Intervene (Tackling Loneliness)|Intervene]], and [[Influence (Tackling Loneliness)|Influence]].

## Purpose
We need to iterate, experiment and learn. Iterate is the learning engine that drives improvement across the other three I's. It ensures our assumptions are constantly challenged and our approach continuously improves.
## How It Works
All the I's inter-relate with each other. Improving what we do through iteration is driven by:
- **Our data** - quantitative and qualitative evidence of impact
- **Our experience** - performance evaluations and impact reports
- **Our partnership with the University** - joint learning and accountability
## Key Activities
- Quarterly monitoring and review
- Senior leader accountability sessions
- Demographic monitoring to check equitable reach
- Challenging assumptions about what works
- Data analysis and impact reporting
- Partnership reviews with the University
## Evaluation
We use **mixed methods** to evaluate our iteration:
- Are our assumptions being tested?
- Is demographic monitoring happening?
- Are quarterly reviews leading to changes?
- Is the University partnership delivering joint learning?
## Interdependence
Iterate connects to all other pathways:
- **Inform → Iterate**: Are our awareness campaigns reaching everyone equally? Is training changing behaviour?
- **Intervene → Iterate**: Are our interventions reducing loneliness? Who are we missing?
- **Influence → Iterate**: Are systemic changes happening? What barriers remain?
